Let’s face it - every family have had cravings for mini golf at one stage or another, and with some newer mini golf courses popping up around Melbourne, there are plenty of options for a fun day out with the little Happy Gilmores.

Holey Moley is a fun little mini golf club / bar situated in the Melbourne CBD & Crown Complex (also coming soon to Frankston) which allow children under the age of 18 entry before 5pm. Unfortunately the youngsters will need to leave the premises after 5 due to alcohol licensing requirements.
This mini golf venue offers has a great selection of unique pop-culture inspired courses from a recreation of the Simpsons’ lounge room, Wizard of Oz, graveyards, Luna Park, to an awkward hole within a toilet cubicle just to name a few.
There are two levels full of the most unique mini-golf courses in Melbourne, with some challenging holes that will entertain parents and kids alike.

Latrobe Golf Park is a self proclaimed “Adventure” mini golf club located in the northern suburbs (Bundoora). There are two themed courses available - the Lakes course and the Desert course, offering 18 holes each.
Each course has its unique theme and obstacles such as lakes, boulders, logs and hills and bumps in all different sizes.
Latrobe golf park also offers large discounts for playing both holes - so you get the best of both worlds, and tire the little ones out for a good night sleep.
Overall a fun little mini golf park as both courses are equally challenging in their own way, and is in a sense a more “ traditional” mini golf park, but will no doubt be an entertaining day out with the kids.

The District Docklands - Shop 35 Star Cres, Docklands VIC
This glow-in-the-dark mini golf course is something special - featuring 18 funky and colourful indoor holes under UV lights, glow in the dark clubs and balls, all in a short drive from the CBD.
Some of the feature holes include a Kingswood ute, outdoor dunny and even a strange crocodile to top it off. Best of all, as the mini golf is entirely under roofs, you and the kids can play all year round no matter if it’s sunny or hailing. Just remember to wear some flouro or white for some extra glow-in-the-dark points!

Yarra Bend Rd, Fairfield VIC
Yarra Bend mini golf features a huge 36 hole course and is located right near the Yarra river, just 4km away from the CBD in Fairfield. The two 18 hole courses (named “East” and “West”) each takes around 45 - 60 minutes for a family of 4 to finish. Both courses are filled with fun little obstacles such as rocks, tunnels, wooden trinkets, all surrounded by luscious greenery.
After you are done golfing, you can even end the day with a visit to the studley boat park for a ride on a paddle boat along the Yarra river!

Offering 36 holes of Adventure mini golf, this golf park located in Chirnside Park has plenty of fun and challenging obstacles in it’s two courses. The indoor “Lodge” course is totally under cover in a multi-level building, incorporating air and water effects to ramp up the excitement.
The outdoor “Lakes” course is just as exciting with water features, creeks, wheels, and tunnels, all surrounded by extensive landscaping and gazebos.

The best thing about this mini golf venue apart from the Medieval themed course, is that the entertainment centre also offers go karts, laser tag, bowling, and dodgem cars!
The mini golf is set in the Castle “Putt-a-Lot” and features 18 exciting holes filled with optical illusions and effects that will entertain both children and adults alike. Some featured holes include Merlins Chamber, The Wishing Well and Excalibur’s Sword, which can all be enjoyed for as little as $8 per child.

18-20 Wangara Road, Sandringham, VIC
Sandy Mini Golf is an 18 hole mini golf course based in Sandringham (20km from CBD). The landscaped course features the classic green lawns, rocks, pebbles and shrubs which are traditionally associated with mini golf.
The course is suitable for kids and adults of varying age groups and skill level as each hole offers three tees to choose from depending on your skill level.
The venue also offers kids birthday parties which combines a party area for the little ones to chow down some well deserved snacks after a long day at the greens.

Corner Centre Dandenong Road and Lower Dandenong Road, Dingley, VIC
Dingley Village Adventure Golf offers two unique 18-hole courses, the “The Chasm” and “The Creek”. The Chasm is set within an indoor multi-level building featuring indoor creeks and water wheels, whilst The Creek is an outdoor course designed around a creek, perfect for beautiful sunny days.
The circuits are well thought out with some fun obstacles such water hazards, bunkers, hitting the ball across a creek or through a spinning water wheel.

Aside from it’s two 18 hole mini golf course, Wetlands Mini Golf ‘n’ Games - as the name suggests, also offers arcade games and kids party packages!
The venue offers both an outdoor and undercover mini golf course, filled with native plants, gazebos, lagoons, bridges and even an indoor lighthouse.
The holes are fun and challenging, with picturesque landscaping and well thought out obstacles and decorations to top it off.

With a name like 234 Fun Galore, you’d hope there would be plenty of fun to be had here, and you’d be right. The focus here is not just mini-golf, but go karts, laser tag, slot cars, video game arcades, dodgem cars, ten-pin bowling plus more. Although the mini golf course is not as well thought out as some other options above, it makes up for it in alternative entertainment.
The 18 hole course is situated indoors, featuring some basic obstacles such as tunnels, ramps and castles, enclosed in some cool graffiti filled walls.
